2023 ACRE 2nd Field Campaign

The 2023 ACRE Field Campaign took place on May 25th and May 26th in Cornaredo, near Milan (Italy).
The venue is “Azienda Agricola Ciro Menozzi – Cascina Baciocca”, an experimental farm of the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences - Production, Landscape, Agroenergy of the University of Milan.

The ACRE Functionality Benchmarks (FBM) and Task Benchmarks prepared for the Field Campaign were:
● Plant discrimination FBM
● Weed destruction FBM
● Field navigation FBM
● Intra row weeding TBM
● Crop mapping TBMI

Crops did include beans, maize and a horticultural crop such as lettuce (Lactuca sativa), zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) or beet (Beta Vulgaris).

...and of course, beyond crops, there were weeds, including those already used for the 1st Field Campaign and -if requested by teams- additional ones chosen among Johnson grass (Sorghum halepense), Slender foxtail (Alopecurus myosuroides) and Sterile Oat (Avena sterilis).
