HEART-MET Field Campaign (October 2022)

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the METRICS HEART-MET robotics benchmarking competition, which consists of several benchmarks including activity and gesture recognition, object handover, object detection and grasping, and delivering items.

The competition targets robots that function in an assistive capacity in a home, or healthcare environment such as a nursing home or hospital.

Location and Dates

Dates: October 3rd - 7th 2022
Location: Cobot Maker Space, University of Nottingham, UK

The Cobot Maker Space Living Space facility is set up to mimic an open-plan style living space, including living room, dining room and kitchen areas.

How to Participate

Teams and individuals from academia and industry are welcome to participate in this competition. Applicant teams must send an email to healthcare@metricsproject.eu  expressing their intention to participate in the Field Campaign and provide the following information about the team:

  1. Team name
  2. Team leader name
  3. Total number of team members (including the team leader)
  4. Affiliation
  5. Contact information (e-mail and phone of team leader)
  6. Website
  7. *Optional: Team Description Paper (max. 4 pages, LNCS) explaining the team’s approach to the technical challenges including a brief description of software and hardware architectures, the relation with the team's research, and a list of relevant publications
